LeBron James defends Jaylen Brown at 76ers

LeBron James, in a Philadelphia 76ers uniform for the first time this season, has come to the defence of team-mate Jaylen Brown, another marquee arrival in the side, saying Brown is simply misread by those around him.

"I think when somebody lives by their own rules, it makes people uncomfortable. He has his own mind. He goes his own way. That confuses people around him, because they're not used to it. When something goes misunderstood, it starts to scare people. People think, 'I don't want to deal with that.' Because they feel fear. There's an energy that comes off him that makes them feel uncomfortable," James said.

Both players joined Philadelphia this off-season, and James has framed the criticism of Brown as a matter of perception rather than substance.
