Vezenkov and Montero Lead Euroleague MVP Race
Olympiacos general managers' survey favors Sasha Vezenkov and Jean Montero as top contenders to win the 2026/27 Euroleague MVP award.
Euroleague general managers have picked Olympiacos as the club most likely to produce the league's next MVP, and they have narrowed it down to two of the club's own players.
Sasha Vezenkov, who took the award for the second time last season, was named by 40% of the general managers surveyed. Jean Montero, his club-mate at Olympiacos, was second on 26.7%.
Montero arrives at Olympiacos after leading Valencia to their first-ever Final Four appearance last season. He also picked up the Rising Star award and the playoff MVP prize, only the second player in the competition's history to win that trophy.
Vezenkov's two MVP awards came in successive seasons, the first in 2024/25 and the second last term.
