Pistons to Waive Guard Gary Harris, Insider Michael Scotto Reports
Detroit will cut the 32-year-old guard, who joined in a six-team trade. Jalen Duren is expected to take the 15th roster spot once his new contract is settled.
Detroit have decided to waive guard Gary Harris, according to insider Michael Scotto. Harris is 32 and stands 193 cm.
Harris activated his $3.8 million player option early in the summer. He then joined the Pistons in the July six-team trade that also sent Santi Aldama to the Mavericks, Khris Middleton to the Wizards and John Collins to Detroit.
Last season, with the Bucks, he averaged a career-low 2.7 points in 13.8 minutes a game. He shot 41.2% from three.
Earlier reports suggested the Pistons would choose between Harris and Taurean Prince for the 14th place on the roster. Jalen Duren is expected to take the 15th once his new contract is settled.
