Byron Scott ranks Kevin Durant below LeBron James and Stephen Curry

Byron Scott has said he is a fan of Kevin Durant, the Rockets forward, but ranks him below LeBron James and Stephen Curry for overall influence on the NBA and beyond.

Scott, a former NBA player, said Durant has little to argue with on that point. He ranks James above Curry.

"I don't think he has a strong case in this debate. I'm a big fan of KD. I think he's a magnificent player. He has an amazing career, and statistically, he ranks at the top. But in my view, if you compare him with the other two top stars of the generation, their influence on the NBA and on the world as a whole is much greater. And between James and Curry, I pick the former. LeBron changed the game at his position altogether. At around 206 cm tall, perhaps only Magic Johnson before him could run a game like that. LeBron did it in his own way, thanks to his physical gifts. He can drive to the basket and he makes his teammates better. He's a winner. And if you look at what he does off the court? It's simply astonishing. He is known all over the world," Scott said.
