Anthony Davis delays new Wizards contract talks
Washington's star centre says he'll focus on the season first, with front-office extension talks to resume only after it ends.
"We'll play the season, and I'll try to do what I do at a high level. Then, once the season is over, we'll sit back down at the table with the front office and discuss it," Davis said at the Wizards' media day.
In early August the 33-year-old centre earned the right to sign a four-year maximum extension with Washington worth up to $275 million. His pay for the coming season is set at $58 million, and the deal includes a $62 million player option for 2027/28.
