Villeurbanne began the 2026/27 EuroLeague campaign with an 84:74 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, a first fixture in the competition for both forward Jae Crowder and head coach Tony Parker.
Crowder top-scored on the night with 19 points.
"Nice welcome. The fans helped us all night. We can build on this foundation. Glad to be part of this culture," Crowder said.
Parker, in his first EuroLeague game in charge, praised the effort behind the result.
"Very happy with the work of my guys. They give everything in training. And I'm happy for myself. We've got a long road ahead, this is just one win. But this kind of start is the right step, especially at home, especially for the fans," Parker said.
