Caleb Wilson Sets Out His Rookie-Season Approach
Chicago's fourth overall pick says he wants to lead by example as a rookie, focusing on effort and process rather than fixed personal targets.
Caleb Wilson, the fourth overall pick in the 2026 draft, says he will focus on leading by example rather than setting specific targets for his rookie season in Chicago.
"You cannot be a leader without standing out. So I will not blend into the background. I will try to lead by example from the start. Rookies are judged more on actions than words. Let my deeds speak for me. I am not setting specific targets for the season. I am more drawn to the process than the result. That has always been the case. But lately it has become even more relevant, at a time when not everything has depended on me. I need to focus on what I can actually control," Wilson said.
The forward is regarded as one of the leading contenders for Rookie of the Year honours this season.
