About the player
Andrey Mostovoy grew up in the CSKA Moscow academy before switching to Lokomotiv Moscow's youth setup, where he won the Russian Youth League title in the 2015/16 season. He then had to work his way up through Olymp Dolgoprudny and Khimki before Zenit signed him for €50,000 in February 2019. He returned to the senior side in July 2020 and grew into a key player for the club.
Mostovoy's time at Zenit has been defined by silverware: five Russian Premier League titles, a Russian Cup, and six Russian Super Cups. He was named Zenit's Player of the Season for 2024/25, a campaign that also brought him the 'Football Gentleman of the Year' award from Komsomolskaya Pravda. He has twice been ranked among the league's elite in the annual list of the 33 best footballers in the Russian championship, finishing third in 2022/23 and 2023/24 before climbing to second for 2024/25.
In September 2026, after years as a Zenit regular, Mostovoy was loaned out to Lokomotiv Moscow for the 2026/27 season. His contract with Zenit runs until June 2027, and reports have suggested the loan could turn into a permanent switch once it expires.
