David Enmanuel Martínez Morales

El Tigre gave Venezuelan football one of its brighter forward prospects in David Enmanuel Martínez Morales, who broke through at Monagas before turning 18 and left having made around 33–38 appearances and scored five or six goals for the club.

He made his MLS debut against Real Salt Lake before the month was out, and by the end of March had his first league goal, against Colorado Rapids, becoming the second-youngest player to score for LAFC in a league match and the youngest in the club's history to register an assist. By the close of the 2024 season he had become the first LAFC player of 18 or younger to reach five goal contributions, form that earned him a spot in the MLS 22 Under 22 class, ranked 19th. He was part of the LAFC squad that won the 2024 US Open Cup, beating Sporting Kansas City 3-1 in the final, though he did not play in that match. He later scored in a 2026 season opener against Inter Miami and was named Best Young Player and included in the Best XI of the CONCACAF Champions Cup that year. In 2026 he moved on again, to FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga, in a deal worth €7.3 million that made him the Danish club's record signing.

At international level, Martínez was a key figure for Venezuela's U-17 side, scoring in the final phase of the 2023 South American U-17 Championship to help the team qualify for the World Cup, and went on to earn caps at U-20 and Olympic level before making his senior debut against Guatemala in June 2023.
