About the player
Orlando Pride took her in the fourth round of the 2016 NWSL College Draft, and by the time she left the club in 2019 she had become Orlando's all-time minutes leader, with her first professional goal coming in a 5–0 win over Sky Blue FC in 2017. A loan spell at Melbourne Victory in between brought a W-League Premiership.
A trade sent her to OL Reign in January 2020, and two years later Angel City FC picked her first overall in the NWSL Expansion Draft, where she made 41 appearances across the 2022 and 2023 seasons. She signed with North Carolina Courage as a free agent in January 2024, initially on a two-year deal, and marked her arrival with the decisive fifth goal in a 5–1 opening-day win over Houston Dash. She extended her contract through 2026 in December 2025.
Weatherholt represented the United States at U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-23 level, starting against Japan for the U-20s in 2013, without going on to earn a senior cap.
