Gastón Lodico

Gastón Lodico came up through Lanús's academy, joining as a boy in 2008 and staying with the club until 2016 before making his senior debut in January 2018. What followed was a run of loan spells that took him well outside Argentina: a year in Hungary with Ferencváros in 2020, then back home with Aldosivi in 2021, on to O'Higgins in Chile in 2022, and finally to Instituto in 2023.

That last loan is where his career took shape. Lodico made 43 appearances for Instituto in 2023, and the club made the move permanent in January 2024. From there he became a fixture in Córdoba, racking up 88 appearances between 2024 and August 2026, with 7 goals and 14 assists in the Liga Profesional Argentina and Copa Argentina.

That production caught Racing Club's attention. On 13 August 2026, Racing signed him from Instituto for a fee of 2,000,000 US dollars, structured in installments running through December 2027, and he put pen to a contract at the club until December 2029.

Lodico has not been capped by Argentina at senior or youth level, so his profile has been built entirely through club football, culminating in the switch from Instituto to Racing after years of loan moves across three different countries.
