J. de la Rosa

De la Rosa is a product of southern Spanish academies who took the long way to Cádiz's first team. Born in Punta Umbría, he began his development at Recreativo de Huelva's Nuevo Molino academy before moving on to Real Betis's youth ranks and then, after 2017, into Cádiz's own youth system, where he worked through the Juvenil sides.

He joined Cádiz CF II in July 2022 and made 21 appearances with two goals in his first season with the reserves. That form carried him into the first team: he made his La Liga debut for Cádiz on 3 May 2023, against Atlético Madrid.

Rather than push straight into the senior side, he went out on loan in August 2023 to Recreativo de Huelva, the club where he had started out. The season back in Huelva was productive — 32 appearances and six goals — and it set up his return to Cádiz for 2024/2025, when he established himself as a regular starter, making 56 appearances and scoring three goals for the first team.

That breakthrough season drew interest from elsewhere, with Barcelona among the clubs credited with tracking him, though no move materialised. In September 2026, de la Rosa left Cádiz altogether, transferring to Polish Ekstraklasa side Wieczysta Kraków on a two-year deal with an option for a third season, closing the chapter on a career built almost entirely on Cádiz's own cantera.
