Argentine, Chilean football has become something else. The move to Chile in 2019, to Santiago Wanderers, marked a turning point.
What followed at Rangers de Talca and Deportes La Serena has been the defining stretch of his career. Altamirano finished as Primera B top scorer in consecutive seasons, with 24 goals for Rangers in 2023 and 22 for La Serena in 2024, and it was that second campaign that carried the most weight: he scored the decisive penalty in the promotion match against Deportes Recoleta, sending La Serena up as champions. Between Puerto Montt, Universidad de Concepción, Rangers and La Serena, every move he made in Chile came on a free transfer.
Huachipato signed him in December 2024 on the back of that scoring run, handing him a contract through to the end of 2026. He arrives at the club as a proven goalscorer at Primera B level. He has never been capped by Argentina.
