Sebastián Villa Cano

Sebastián Villa Cano began his career at Deportes Tolima, making his senior debut in the Copa Colombia in August 2014 against Deportes Quindío and winning that competition the same year. He broke into the league side in May 2016 and went on to help Tolima lift the Categoría Primera A Torneo Apertura in 2018, a title that took him to Boca Juniors that summer.

At Boca, Villa won the Primera División twice, the Copa Argentina, the Copa de la Liga Profesional twice and the Supercopa Argentina twice. His time there also produced one of the individual highlights of his career, a brace against Vélez Sarsfield in a 7-1 win in March 2021. In 2023 his career took a sharp turn: he received a suspended sentence for aggravated assault and coercive behaviour in a domestic violence case, and Boca suspended him as a result. He left the club that November and joined Bulgaria's PFC Beroe Stara Zagora as a free agent.

A return to Argentine football followed in July 2024, when Independiente Rivadavia paid €2.4 million for him. He repaid that investment quickly, scoring the winning goal and setting up another in a 2-1 victory over River Plate in November 2024, and he added a Copa Argentina title with the club in 2025. Deportes Tolima, as his formative club, retains 30% of his economic rights from any future transfer.

With his Rivadavia contract expiring at the end of June 2026, Villa returned to Boca Juniors that July in a deal reported at €5.7 million.
