Gori Sports Palace holds around 1,500 spectators, a scale that suits a club still finding its level rather than settling into it. BC Iverioni plays there because Gori, not the capital, is where the project was built, despite the "Tbilisi" tag that has stuck to it in some listings.

The club was formed in September 2021. Within two seasons it had won the Georgian A-League, the country's second division, and gone up with it to the Superliga for 2023-24 — a jump from founding to top flight inside three years. The same second-division campaign also brought the Cup of the A-League.

Promotion did not translate into an immediate ceiling-breaker at the top level. In 2024 Iverioni reached the final of the Georgian Cup and lost to Tbilisi State University, 92-81, the closest it has come to a senior trophy since stepping up.

A Superliga title, or any mark against the country's established sides, is still missing from the record.
