When Rio Grande do Sul's football clubs started weighing whether to convert themselves into companies rather than remain member-run associations, Viamão moved first. Futebol Com Vida was registered on 3 February 2022 as the state's first Sociedade Anônima do Futebol, taking the field in green and white under the nickname Futvida.

The team trains at the Centro de Treinamento Becker. The early return came in 2023, when Futvida finished runner-up in the Campeonato Gaúcho Série B, with Rafael Gelatti top-scoring in that campaign on seven goals.

Promotion carried the club into the Série A2 in 2024, its first season at that level, and the step up showed: two wins, two draws and ten defeats left Futvida in 14th place. Guilherme Reis, a 17-year-old midfielder, was handed a loan move to São Paulo FC around the same period, while the women's side, with goalkeeper Gabi Becker between the posts, went through the Campeonato Gaúcho Feminino in 2023 and 2024.

In May 2025, Futvida withdrew from that season's Série A2. The exit sent the club down to Série B for 2026 and, with it, professional football at Futebol Com Vida stopped altogether.
