Gomel Women

Second place in 2000 remains the high point for the women's side from Gomel. That year it finished as runner-up in both the Belarusian Championship and the Belarusian Cup. The Cup gave the club a bronze in 2013, and in 2023 it took silver at the republican tournament marking the 880th anniversary of the city.

The club began in 1992 simply as Gomel. Two years later it became BelDUT, a name it returned to twice, in 2006 and again in 2008. In between came BelDUT-Vydrystsa, Gomel Region, Sozh-GSU, Gomel-Sozh and several others. Gomelskiye Risye was tried for a single season in 2007 and again in 2018, before it became the permanent name in 2020. The name comes from the lynx on the city's coat of arms. Today the club sits under the Gomel Regional Club for Game Sports, and it plays in the Premier League (Vysshaya Liga), the top division in Belarus.

Before the Palace of Games, the team used the hall at Gomel State University. The Palace holds 850 spectators.
