Kwiek Women

On 4 April 2026 his side beat VOC Amsterdam 30-26 in the final of the KNHB Beker, the first national trophy the club has ever put its hands on. Kwiek has held its place in the Eredivisie since 2021 without ever lifting the league title itself.

The club grew out of Rohda, the Raalte multi-sport association that had run handball since 1948, until the section split off in 1965 and took the name Kwiek — short for 'Kunnen Winnen Is Een Kunst', winning is an art. Kwiek still shares youth training and transport arrangements with Rohda's footballers. Matches are played at Sporthal Tijenraan, which holds 800, in red and black.

Among the players who have worn those colours, Daphne Luchies went furthest, earning Dutch national team caps before moving on to Dunaújvárosi Kohász in Hungary. This season's squad, built around Mila Wielens, Nel Veldhuis and Joy Maatman under Portengen.
