Pressano

The club grew out of a group of enthusiasts in the small frazione of Pressano, near Lavis, who set up a handball section in 1976 under Giorgio Chistè, with Flavio Weber taking the first presidency. It played for decades as Handball Club Pressano before adopting the Pallamano Pressano name around 2006.

That academy has been the club's quieter strength. The pipeline has kept feeding the first team rather than just decorating a trophy cabinet. On the senior side, the Coppa Italia won in 2019 against Bolzano remains the clearest marker of what the club has achieved in Serie A, alongside a Supercoppa Italiana the year before and two runner-up finishes in the championship itself, in 2012–13 and 2018–19.

Few players are tied to the club as closely as Adriano Di Maggio, who came through as a right wing and went on to represent Italy at national level — the clearest example of Pressano's own production line reaching the top of the domestic game.
