Racing Power Women

Three men behind Racing Power — Nuno Painço, Ismael Duarte and Pedro Sebastião — broke away from Paio Pires FC in 2020 and put the new side together in Seixal, in the Setúbal district. The climb that followed had little patience in it: a year later the club took the Campeonato Nacional III Divisão Feminina, beating Rio Ave 1–0 in the final and going straight up to the second tier, then added the Taça Feminina da Associação de Futebol de Setúbal under coach João Marques in 2022–23.

The furthest the club has gone came on 19 May 2024, at the Estádio Nacional do Jamor, in the final of the Taça de Portugal Feminina. Benfica were the opponents, and by the end the scoreline read 4–1 — Marie Alidou, Carol Costa, Lúcia Alves and Kika Nazareth scored for the winners, Gerda Konst got the one back for Racing Power.

Home matches are shared between the Complexo Municipal de Atletismo de Setúbal, which holds 1,500, and the Benfica Campus in Seixal. Blue and white are the club's colours, though for the cup final supporters wore yellow and spoke of "o clube amarelo" instead.

João Marques stayed on the touchline through that entire rise, from the third division to the Jamor final, before leaving the post in December 2024.
