Tumba

Tumba sits south of Stockholm. IFK Tumba Handboll grew out of a women's section formed on 9 October 1970, with a men's team following after. Colours are blue and white, in keeping with the wider Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna family the club belongs to.

The club's high point came in 1997, with the Swedish Outdoor Handball Championship. Indoors, the men reached Elitserien in 1998 and stayed the better part of a decade, going out in the quarter-finals in 2001 to Redbergslids IK. A return to the top flight in 2008 lasted one season. The women had a single Elitserien campaign, in 2012/2013, and lost all twenty-two matches. More recently the men dropped to Division 1 after finishing bottom of Allsvenskan in 2017/2018 with two points, before working their way back up for 2024/2025.

Youth handball is where the club has built its name most consistently: nine Swedish youth titles, including junior gold for the girls in 2012 and the boys in 2013. Local matches against Tyresö Handboll are known as the söderortsderby, the derby of Stockholm's southern suburbs, with further rivalries against Nacka HK, Rimbo HK and IK Bolton. Between 2011 and 2014 the club played under a sponsor's name, Caperio Tumba, before reverting to IFK Tumba.

Of those who have worn the shirt, Erik Hajas is the name still mentioned from the club's stronger years, having played there in the late 1980s and into the early 1990s.
