Yunost Minsk

The school behind the shirt came first: SDYUSHOR "Yunost," a youth sports academy set up in Minsk on 1 September 1975 to develop hockey players. The senior club that carries its name did not follow until the Minsk City Executive Committee formally established it on 19 March 2003.

It took a single season to show what that pairing could do. Two more league titles followed by 2006, and since then no club has matched their record in the competition: eleven championships in total, the last of them in 2024/25. The 2010/11 season stands out on its own — league, cup and the IIHF Continental Cup all won in the same year.

Andrei Stas ran through much of that history from both sides of the bench: long-time captain first, head coach later. Mikhail Grabovsky's spell there is remembered differently.

Games against Dinamo Minsk carry weight beyond the table — the Minsk Derby is the one fixture in the league where the city itself is the stake. Yunost play out of the Chizhovka-Arena.
