Wukesong Arena
Beijing, China
Formerly: Wukesong Culture & Sports Center, MasterCard Center, LeSports Center, Huaxi Live, Cadillac Arena, Huaxi Live Wukesong, Bloomage Biotech Runbaiyan Center
Since opening on January 11, 2008, the venue has served as a primary anchor for Beijing's sporting calendar, transitioning from an Olympic basketball hub to a home for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and the Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). It hosted the decisive matches of two major global tournaments on different surfaces: the 2008 Summer Olympics men's basketball final, where the United States defeated Spain, and the 2022 Winter Olympics women's ice hockey gold medal game. The arena also staged the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup final.
The facility has undergone significant modernisation to maintain its status. A renovation completed in December 2020 upgraded the lighting and audio-visual systems, alongside the installation of a CO2 refrigeration plant to support the ice rink. While the capacity for basketball events is typically cited at 19,000, the configuration shifts for ice hockey or concerts. The venue has been known by several commercial names since its inception, including Cadillac Arena and LeSports Center, though it reverts to the Wukesong Arena designation for international competitions.
