Indonesia's recent results show a different trajectory. They beat Malaysia 62 to 55 on 19 December 2025, then lost 55 to 66 to the Philippines and 55 to 60 to Thailand in back-to-back defeats. Their most recent outing was a 61 to 52 win over Thailand on 17 September, but this latest result leaves them with two losses from three games.
The 69-point margin speaks for itself. China had nothing to do all evening, while Indonesia found no answer to the pressure from the opening tip-off. The hosts held on grimly even when the game was effectively over, but the outcome was never in doubt.
China now sit top with three victories and zero defeats, while Indonesia's two losses keep them in third place. The gap between the teams at this stage of the tournament could not be wider.
