Adam Frizzell

Adam Frizzell’s career has been defined by resilience rather than early stardom. After leaving the Rangers academy in 2011, he moved on to Kilmarnock, a club where he would spend the next nine years. For much of that time, he was a journeyman in the Scottish lower leagues, finding himself on loan at Livingston and Queen of the South before settling temporarily at Dumbarton. It was not until he signed permanently with Airdrieonians in 2021 that his role changed.

At Airdrieonians, Frizzell evolved into a central figure. He became the team captain and helped lead the side to victory in the SPFL Trust Trophy in 2024. The 2023–24 Challenge Cup Final on 24 March 2024 was a defining moment for the squad, secured through a final whistle victory. Throughout this period, he made 104 appearances and scored 10 goals, proving his value as a reliable midfielder. However, his path was not smooth; a foot injury in May 2019 while at Kilmarnock was severe enough to deny teammate Jordan Jones a farewell appearance.

Frizzell’s international profile is limited to the Scotland U20 side, where he earned five caps in 2017, including a bronze medal finish at the Toulon Tournament. He has never been called up to the senior national team. His move to Linfield on 19 January 2026 marked a new chapter in his career, arriving on a free transfer after his contract with Airdrieonians expired. Since joining the Belfast club, he has featured in 11 matches and scored twice, aiming to replicate his previous success in a different league.

While some sources list his height as 179 cm, others record it at 176 cm, with his weight consistently noted as 67 kg. His journey from the academy ranks to becoming a captain and then a free agent shows a career built on persistence.
