Ryan Patrick Nolan

Ryan Nolan’s path to professional football began in the shadows of Europe’s elite. While many academy graduates dream of the first team, he found a stable home in Northern Ireland.

His early years were spent in Spain, where he came through the Torre Pacheco youth system. In 2015, he moved to Inter Milan’s Primavera side. He captained the youth team while winning the Under-19 Supercoppa. After leaving Inter in 2019, he joined Arezzo and later Getafe. He made only eight appearances for Arezzo and four for Getafe B. A cruciate ligament injury in December 2020 sidelined him for eleven months.

Nolan’s career trajectory shifted after he joined Raith Rovers in 2022. He made thirty appearances and scored one goal. He then moved to Hércules in July 2023, where he made twenty-three appearances and scored another goal. His performances helped the team gain promotion to Primera RFEF. This success led to a free transfer to Larne in September 2024.

He has made forty-eight appearances and scored one goal.

Internationally, Nolan represented the Republic of Ireland at youth levels. He earned four caps for the U16 side, sixteen for the U17 team, and five for the U18 squad. Although he was named in the provisional U21 squad once, he did not make the final cut. He has not yet earned a senior cap for either the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.

Standing 188 cm tall, Nolan uses his physical presence to anchor the defence. His journey from Inter’s academy to a title-winning defender in Belfast shows a resilience that defined his career.
