About the player
Andrew Tod grew up in a football household: his father, Andy Tod, was a professional, and his brother John is in the game too. He started out at Kinross Colts, moved to Dunfermline Athletic in 2016 and then to Hibernian in 2018. In 2021 he came back to Dunfermline.
The return led to a professional contract in July 2022, which runs until May 2028. That same year he made his senior debut, in the League Cup.
The first was at Elgin City in the spring of 2023. He played seven times between February and May without scoring. East Fife followed from September 2024. He played five games there and scored once before a knee injury ended the loan in January 2025.
The knee injury did not stop his progress. By May 2026 he had made 39 league appearances for Dunfermline and scored 13 goals.
International recognition came at youth level. He has three caps for Scotland Under-21s, all in qualifiers for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship. He has yet to score for the side. He has no senior caps. He is right-footed.
