Abdoulaye Sissako

Abdoulaye Sissako came through the RC France youth ranks before joining the AJ Auxerre academy in 2012, and he made his senior debut there in 2016, going on to make 13 appearances across two seasons. A move to Ligue 2 side LB Châteauroux followed in 2018. At Zulte Waregem he became a regular starter, staying four seasons and racking up 89 appearances and four goals in the Belgian Pro League. In August 2023 he signed for K.V. Kortrijk on a free transfer with a four-year contract, going on to play 62 matches for the club before a move to Sint-Truiden in June 2025.

Born in Clichy, Sissako holds French nationality but is also eligible to represent Mali or Uganda through family heritage. That question has not been settled at senior level: he has no caps for the French national team, though he did represent the country at youth level, with six appearances and a goal for the under-18s and a further 14 caps for the under-19s.

His career so far has been built on steady progression through the leagues rather than on trophies — Sissako has yet to win a major individual award or team title as a senior professional.
