Adam Baalal

Adam Baalal came through the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Salé, before working his way through the country's youth national teams at U16, U17, U18 and U20 level. His step into professional football came with Union Touarga Sport in the Botola Pro, where he made his debut at 17 and went on to make seven top-flight appearances.

In January 2026, Baalal moved to Saint-Étienne on a free loan from Union Touarga. He joined the reserves in National 3 while training regularly with the professional squad under Philippe Montanier. He scored twice in seven games for the reserve team, and was handed his professional debut in Ligue 2 against Rodez. The loan spell persuaded the club to act: Saint-Étienne triggered the purchase option written into the deal in May 2026, and Baalal signed his first professional contract that August, a three-year deal running to 2029.

He remains a young prospect without senior trophies or individual honours to his name, but his path from academy football in Morocco to a Ligue 2 debut inside a matter of months, via a loan spell that ended in a permanent move.
