Adriano Martins

The first professional trophy of Adriano Martins's career arrived in 2024, in his first season at Atlético Goianiense: the Campeonato Goiano. He was 26.

The route was the long one. He turned professional at Bonsucesso in Rio de Janeiro in 2018, playing eight matches in Campeonato Carioca Série B1 and scoring once. A move to Uberlândia in Minas Gerais followed in 2019 — 13 matches, two goals, and promotion out of the division. Later that year he was at Francana in São Paulo, where he scored three times in eight matches in the Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão.

The stretch that changed things was Grêmio Novorizontino, where he stayed from 2020 to 2023 and climbed with the club from Série D to Série B. He made roughly 62 appearances across those years, with a short loan back to Uberlândia in February and March 2022 that brought three matches.

He signed for Atlético Goianiense on 5 January 2024 and went straight into the side. Across 49 Série A matches that year he scored three times and added two assists, ranking among the top three defenders in the division for minutes played and interceptions.

In January 2025 he was loaned to Juventude in Rio Grande do Sul for the remainder of the season. By the start of 2026 he had passed 84 appearances and five goals for Atlético Goianiense, with his contract there running to 2026.
