Akorred Usman Ajibona

Usman Ajibona's route to Torpedo Moscow ran through three countries in barely two years. He began at Dosu Joseph FC in the Nationwide League One before moving to Russia to join the academy at FDC Vista Gelendzhik, where he made his senior debut and picked up the Krasnodar Region Top League and the Botev Cup in 2023, later named best player in a National Student Football League match between KubGU and KFU.

In February 2025 he left Russia for Armenia, signing his first professional contract with FC Van. He made 10 appearances and scored twice in his first season there. A move to FC Alashkert followed, then a loan to FC Gandzasar Kapan for the 2025–26 campaign, where he added six appearances without a goal before returning to Alashkert that winter.

Torpedo Moscow took him on loan from Alashkert in July 2026 for the 2026–27 season. He made his debut for the Moscow side in a 1-1 draw with Shinnik Yaroslavl and has since made seven appearances in the FNL, still waiting for his first goal for the club and picking up three yellow cards along the way.

His development has not gone unnoticed internationally. In August 2025 he was called up to Nigeria's U20 side, the Flying Eagles, for a training camp in Abuja ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, with Alashkert clearing him to travel. He has yet to feature for Nigeria's senior side, the Super Eagles.
