About the player
Alexey Butarevich began his career in the Neman (Grodno) system before spending several years moving between Belarusian clubs — Smolevichi-STI, Torpedo (Minsk), Smolevichi and Dynamo (Minsk) among them. A loan spell at Slutsk in 2021 stood out statistically: he scored five goals in 25 matches. That same year at Smolevichi, he clashed with coach Leonid Brazevich over being asked to play out of position.
In 2022 he moved to Russia, joining Rotor before switching to Zenit-2 the following year. He returned to Belarusian football in 2024 with Torpedo-BelAZ, with whom he won the Belarusian Super Cup that year. In October 2025, he was named man of the round for Torpedo-BelAZ after a goal-and-assist display in a 3:2 win over Slavia. He later played for ML Vitebsk before joining Dinamo Brest in March 2026.
At youth level, Butarevich earned five caps for Belarus's junior sides — three for the under-19 side and two for the under-21s.
