Antoine Larose

Antoine Larose spent thirteen years at a single club before making his first senior move. He joined Louhans-Cuiseaux as a youth player after leaving the Châteauroux academy, and stayed with the club from 2010 through to June 2023, well into his thirties in football terms — a stretch that took in 277 appearances and 101 goals in the lower reaches of French football, National 3 and National 2. That scoring record, sustained over more than a decade at the same club, is the defining fact of his career to date.

The move away came only when Louhans-Cuiseaux dropped into National 3. Larose left as a free agent and signed for Annecy, a club that had just been promoted to Ligue 2, with the switch confirmed at the end of June 2023 and his contract beginning on 1 July. It was his first experience of senior football above the third tier, arriving at an age when many forwards with his kind of goal record elsewhere would already have tested a higher level years earlier.

At Annecy he has kept contributing in front of goal, adding assists alongside his own goals in Ligue 2. He plays as a left-footed forward.
