About the player
Arthur Vitelli came up through the youth system at Dijon, spending four years with the club before moving on to Guingamp's reserve side in 2021. He signed his first professional contract and making his debut against Amiens, though senior opportunities stayed limited to a handful of appearances in Ligue 2 and the Coupe de France.
A loan to Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała in Poland's I liga in early 2023 gave him a run of regular football, starting all fourteen of his appearances there, but the move did not turn permanent after the club missed out on promotion. He returned to France and, on a free transfer, joined Sochaux at the end of that August.
It was at Sochaux that Vitelli found his footing. He established himself as a key player at the back and was voted the club's Player of the Season for his first campaign. Sochaux moved to secure him by extending his contract the following summer, and he has continued as a regular starter for the club in Ligue 2.
Vitelli's career has been built almost entirely in France's lower and second-tier divisions, with the Polish loan as his only experience outside the country. He has not been called up to any French national side.
