About the player
Estoril announced Bernardo Lourenço's signing on 9 July 2025, on a contract running until 2029. The midfielder arrived from SC Beira-Mar, where he had spent two seasons.
His route to that point ran through Portuguese football's lower levels. He came through the youth ranks at SC Pombal and scored for them in matches such as the one against GD Peniche. In July 2020 he moved to Clube Condeixa, and it was there that he began playing senior football. Over two years he made 35 appearances and scored six goals.
A season at Mortágua FC followed, from August 2022 to July 2023. Between July 2023 and June 2025 he made 47 senior appearances and scored seven goals.
At Estoril he was registered with the under-23 side in 2025/26. He made four appearances in the Liga Revelação U23 and did not score.
His time there ended in July 2026, when he left for Atlético CP. The transfer was completed on 22 July 2026, and he signed a contract until 30 June 2027. That deal is shorter than the one he had agreed at Estoril, which was due to run to 2029.
He is right-footed and has spent his career in midfield.
