About the player
Beni Mukendi made his senior debut for Angola on 27 March 2023, in a 1-1 draw against Ghana during Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He came through the Petro de Luanda youth ranks before crossing to Portugal, where his career took shape at CD Trofense. There, in the 2020/21 season, he was part of the squad that won Liga 3, earning promotion to the second tier.
Mukendi stayed at Trofense until January 2023, when he moved to Casa Pia AC. He ended his time with the club in February 2025 with a switch to Vitória de Guimarães, a transfer reported at €3 million for 80% of his economic rights. The move has since become the subject of a legal dispute, with Trofense suing Casa Pia over a 40% sell-on clause from their 2023 agreement, worth a reported €1.2 million.
On the international stage, Mukendi has been a regular presence in Angola's squad, featuring at both the 2023 and 2025 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations. He has earned 11 caps for his country without finding the net.
