About the player
Benjamin Gomel came through the youth ranks at RC Lens, where he stayed on into the reserve side for four seasons, racking up ten goals in 47 appearances at that level.
Spells at US Boulogne, this time as a permanent signing, and then CS Sedan Ardennes followed, each move made as a free transfer.
That move came in July 2025, when he signed a two-year contract with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard as a free agent. Despite being listed as an attacker, Gomel has generally been used further back, in advanced midfield roles, and he has taken the number 7 shirt at his new club. He has not been capped by France at any level.
