Bryan Catharina Anna Petronell Linssen

Some careers announce themselves with a big move. Linssen's is built the other way round: he has scored hat-tricks in the Eredivisie for three different clubs this century. It came together across spells at Vitesse, Feyenoord and NEC Nijmegen, each one adding to a goal tally that eventually reached three figures in the competition — in September 2021 he became only the fifth player to score a century of Eredivisie goals since the turn of the century.

He started out at Fortuna Sittard, where a Bronzen Stier award marked him out as the best young talent of his debut season, before a run of free transfers took him through MVV Maastricht and VVV-Venlo to Heracles Almelo. A move to FC Groningen followed, then a switch to Vitesse in 2017. He finished as the club's top scorer in three straight seasons. Feyenoord came next on a free transfer, and with them he reached the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

In 2022 he left the Netherlands altogether, joining Urawa Red Diamonds and winning the AFC Champions League with the Japanese club. He returned home in January 2025, signing for NEC Nijmegen until the summer of 2026. A strike from inside his own half against NAC Breda, voted the Eredivisie's Goal of the Season. He has never been capped by the Netherlands at senior level.
