Tjaronn Inteff Chefren Chery

Tjaronn Chery spent much of his career abroad before returning to where his most recent form has been. At Maccabi Haifa he became a key player, scoring 53 goals in 177 appearances and winning the Israeli Premier League three times, in 2020–21, 2021–22 and 2022–23, along with two Israeli Super Cups. He was named the league's Best Foreign Player in both 2020–21 and 2021–22.

His route there was not straightforward. After coming through at FC Twente, Chery went out on loan to SC Cambuur and RBC Roosendaal before finding his footing at FC Emmen, where he was voted Player of the Year. A move to ADO Den Haag followed, then FC Groningen, where he won the KNVB Cup in 2015 and finished as the club's top scorer. That form earned him a switch to Queens Park Rangers, where he scored 14 goals in 61 appearances, before a transfer to Chinese club Guizhou Zhicheng and a loan spell in Turkey with Kayserispor.

Chery returned to the Netherlands in January 2024 on loan to NEC Nijmegen and was named Eredivisie Player of the Month in May of that year. A brief stint at Royal Antwerp followed before he went back to NEC on a permanent deal in July 2025.

Internationally, Chery represents Suriname, making his debut in March 2021. He has since earned caps for the national side and provided the assist for Suriname's opening goal in a 1–1 draw against Panama in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in October 2025.
