Carlos Gustavo Quintana

Carlos Quintana stands 191 centimetres tall and is known, among other things, for wearing size 45 boots. Born in Glew, in Buenos Aires Province, he came through at Lanús and made his professional debut in the 2007 Apertura, a tournament the club went on to win.

A loan spell took him to Huracán for the 2010–11 season, where he made 23 appearances and scored three goals, before spells at Douglas Haig and Patronato preceded his move to Talleres de Córdoba in 2016, where he helped the side win the Primera B Nacional title that year. At Argentinos Juniors from 2019 he made 59 appearances and won the Copa Argentina in the 2021–22 season. A loan return to Patronato in 2022 saw him captain the side to their own Copa Argentina triumph.

His time at Rosario Central, where he arrived on loan in 2023, saw 93 appearances, six goals, and two major honours — the Copa de la Liga Profesional in 2023 and the Primera División title in 2025. The departure was less smooth. He left the club by mutual agreement in June 2026, citing differences with coach Jorge Almirón and a lack of playing time, before signing a free transfer with Deportivo Riestra until December 2027.

At youth level, Quintana represented Argentina at the South American U-20 Championship, though he has not gone on to earn senior caps for the national team.
