About the player

Clint Essers came through the FC Eindhoven trial process rather than a transfer fee, joining the club on 22 July 2025 after a training stint convinced the Dutch second-tier side to sign him on a free contract.

He started at RKHSV and later RKSV Heer before Fortuna Sittard's academy took him on in 2007, keeping him through to 2016. Essers broke into Fortuna's first team the following year and stayed four seasons, making 68 Eerste Divisie appearances without finding the net. In August 2021 he moved on a free transfer to MVV Maastricht, where his two seasons yielded 35 league appearances and two goals, one of them against Telstar.

When his MVV contract expired in 2023, Essers went without a club for six months. He resumed his career in January 2024 with SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lechnerz in Germany's Regionalliga, the fourth tier, playing 32 matches over the following season without scoring.

At FC Eindhoven he has become a regular fixture, with 34 appearances and two goals recorded for the club. He plays right-footed at the back.
