Jort Borgmans

Jort Borgmans came up through FC Eindhoven's own youth system, joining the club's academy in 2016 after starting out at amateur side SV Valkenswaard. He moved into the first-team environment in 2020 and made his senior debut that same season, a milestone that came before his professional terms were even settled.

That contract situation was resolved on 14 June 2021, when Borgmans, then 19, signed his first professional deal with FC Eindhoven — a two-year agreement with the option of a further two seasons attached. It was the formal recognition of a path that had already begun on the pitch.

Since then his path to regular football has been gradual rather than immediate. His appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie have grown year on year: a single match in each of his first two seasons, followed by two, then five, then eight appearances as his role expanded. By the 2024/25 season he had reached 17 league matches for the club, with playing time increasing each campaign.

At 190cm, Borgmans fits the modern profile for a goalkeeper. He has yet to feature in the KNVB Cup for the club, with his development so far concentrated entirely on league football.
