Denzel Justus Morris Dumfries

Dumfries built his path to Inter through the Rotterdam youth system, starting at VV Smitshoek before spells at Spartaan '20 and BVV Barendrecht carried him into the professional game. It was at Sparta Rotterdam, which he joined in 2014 and where he made his debut a year later, that he first had an impact of real weight: he helped the club win promotion to the Eredivisie in 2016, the kind of achievement that shapes a career's early direction.

A move to SC Heerenveen followed, and then, in 2018, a transfer to PSV Eindhoven, where he grew into the club captaincy — a marker of the trust he had earned inside the dressing room. In 2021 he joined Inter.

His international story has carried some of his most memorable moments. Since making his debut for the Netherlands against Germany in 2018, Dumfries has become a regular presence, and his tournament goals have stood out: winners against Ukraine and Austria at Euro 2020, and a goal against the USA in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He was part of the Dutch squad that reached the semi-finals at Euro 2024, adding another deep run to his tournament record.
