About the player
Daniel Peretz broke into first-team football at Maccabi Tel Aviv, the club he had joined as a boy in 2006, and needed a loan spell at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam to get regular minutes, making 32 appearances there in 2019–20 before returning to Maccabi.
In August 2023 Bayern Munich signed him for a fee of around €5 million, making Peretz the first Israeli player in the club's history. He spent time out on loan with the club's second team in the Regionalliga Bayern.
He made his senior international debut in November 2022 and was later named in Israel's squad for the 2024 Olympics as an overage player.
That loan turned permanent in June 2026, when Southampton paid a fee reported at €7–8 million to sign him outright.
