Diego Altube

Diego Altube spent nearly a decade in Real Madrid's academy before making his senior debut, joining the Madrid youth system in 2016. He broke into Real Madrid Castilla in 2019, making 14 appearances, but his time with the first team told a different story: registered as Real Madrid's third-choice goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois and Alphonse Areola in 2020–21, he never left the bench in La Liga. He still collected a league winner's medal that season, and added a Supercopa de España title after coming on for 66 minutes against Valencia in the semi-final.

With first-team football unreachable at the Santiago Bernabéu, Altube went out on loan to CF Fuenlabrada in the Segunda División in 2021–22, playing 24 matches, before leaving Real Madrid for good. Albacete Balompié signed him on a free transfer in July 2022, and he made 18 appearances there across two seasons. A brief spell at Zamora CF followed from August 2024 before he moved to Portugal.

Altube joined Feirense on a free transfer in July 2025. In Liga Portugal 2, he has settled in as second-choice goalkeeper behind Francisco Meixedo. Spanish by birth, he also holds Malaysian citizenship, though speculation in 2024 about a possible switch of national allegiance has not led to a call-up, and he remains uncapped at senior international level.
