About the player
Dimitar Sheytanov made his Primeira Liga debut in a 4–0 defeat by Benfica on 21 July 2020, playing for CD Aves. The season ended badly for the club. Aves lost their professional licence, and Sheytanov left in September 2020.
He started out in Greece with PAS Giannina, then returned to Sofia and moved through Obelya and Levski Sofia. At Levski he spent five years, and in 2018 he went on loan to Leeds United's academy. Aves signed him in July 2019.
Pirin Blagoevgrad took him on a free transfer in January 2021, and he stayed through the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons. Another free move followed in January 2022, to Septemvri Sofia, where he remained until 2025.
That summer brought two changes. He joined CSKA 1948 on a free transfer on 1 July 2025, and on 6 June, he made his senior debut for Bulgaria in a 2–2 friendly draw with Cyprus. He has won two caps.
