About the player
Mamadou Diallo finished his first season in Bulgaria as joint top scorer of the First Professional League. His 18 goals in 2025–26 matched the tally of Everton Bala. CSKA 1948 ended that campaign in second place, which took them into the UEFA Conference League. Diallo is also the club's captain.
The route to Sofia ran through the lower reaches of French football. He played for FC 93 Bobigny-Bagnolet-Gagny and Le Blanc-Mesnil Sport. After a short stay at Chambly Oise in 2022, he joined US Boulogne that December.
The turning point came at LB Châteauroux, whom he joined in August 2024. In the Championnat National he scored 12 goals, among them a perfect hat-trick against US Quevilly-Rouen in September 2024. At 191 centimetres he offered the aerial presence a side in that division looks for in a centre-forward, and Châteauroux got the return on it within weeks of his arrival.
CSKA 1948 signed him on a free transfer in July 2025 on a contract running to 2028. Every one of his recent moves has been a free one.
Diallo was born in Mauritania, holds French citizenship and plays for the Mauritanian national team. He made his debut on 11 October 2024 in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt, which Mauritania lost 2–0.
