Ognjen Gašević

Ognjen Gašević came to CSKA 1948 through a buyout clause. Budućnost Podgorica first rejected the offer, citing the closed transfer window, but FIFA regulations on such clauses left the club no option but to accept. The move was completed on 28 August 2025 for €150,000, and the defender signed a contract running to 30 June 2028. By June 2026 he had made 25 appearances for the Bulgarian club.

The clause was the end of a spell in which he had become a key player at Budućnost. He arrived there on a free transfer in June 2023 from Rudar Pljevlja, where he had played 66 matches and scored three goals over two seasons. For Budućnost he made 62 appearances and scored three times. The club won the Montenegrin Cup in 2023–24 and the Montenegrin First League in 2024–25.

His route to that point began in the youth system of OFK Mladost Donja Gorica. In 2018 he moved to OFK Titograd and made his senior debut the same year. He played 41 matches for Titograd and scored twice, and in 2019 spent a loan at FK Mornar, where he made nine appearances and scored once.

Gašević came through the Montenegrin national youth teams, with two caps at under-16 level, five at under-17, four at under-18, ten at under-19 and 14 at under-21. His senior debut for Montenegro came on 19 November 2024 in a UEFA Nations League match against Turkey, which Montenegro won 3–1. His second cap followed on 22 March 2025 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Gibraltar, another 3–1 win. He has four senior caps and has not yet scored for the national side.
