Dixon Vera

Guayaquil raised Dixon Vera, who first put on a shirt for Independiente del Valle's youth ranks before moving through Ecuadorian football and, in November 2021, into Emelec's senior squad. He found his rhythm away from the club that owned his rights: a loan at Libertad de Loja brought 15 appearances, and a longer spell at Técnico Universitario, running from mid-2024 to the end of 2025, produced 43 matches, four goals and five assists.

That form carried him to Athletic Club on a free transfer in January 2026, on a deal running to the end of the year. At international level, Vera has represented Ecuador's under-20 side on three occasions, without yet adding a senior cap despite having been called up before.
