Dušan Tadić

Dušan Tadić left Vojvodina for Groningen in 2010. At Southampton he equalled the Premier League record for assists in a single match with four against Sunderland.

The move to Ajax in 2018 turned into the peak of his career. He became club captain, won three Eredivisie titles, two KNVB Cups and the Johan Cruijff Shield, and topped the Eredivisie scoring charts in 2018–19. He was named Ajax Player of the Year in 2021 and left the club in 2023 with 105 goals and 112 assists from 241 matches.

At Fenerbahçe he continued in the same mould, scoring 29 goals and providing 35 assists in 109 official appearances before his departure in 2025. He returned to the Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen, again wearing the number 10.

For Serbia, Tadić made his debut in 2008 and went on to captain the national side, featuring at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and at Euro 2024. He retired from international football in 2024 with a national record of 111 caps and 23 goals. He was named Serbian Footballer of the Year three times, in 2016, 2019 and 2021, and Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2021.
